Traveling for Turkey Day!

Good morning, dolls and dudes! It's the day before Thanksgiving and I know some of y'all are traveling Please be advised of the following:

  1. Winter Storm Cato is here on the East coast, so there may be delays at airports and bus depots. Please be careful on the roads, dears.
  2. Same weather but less dire n the Midwest, Tennessee Valley and Ohio Valley. Drivers beware, though. Also snowing in the Rockies.
  3. Tomorrow, Cato will be gone, but you'll need to bundle up. In the Pacific Northwest, there'll be rain and/or snow, but elsewhere will be pretty warm. So to my West Coast darlings, drive safely, and keep warm!
  4. And for the love of Bettie, please be careful on Friday if you're going shopping!
I wish you all a wonderful Thanksgiving and a great start to the holiday season!

Holiday Cheer!

Awwww yesh, it's the week of Thanksgiving, darlings! So, I'm gonna tell you what I'm thankful for.

  • My family. My mom and mommy have been nothing short of supportive and caring throughout these 18 years of my life. My brother and my twin sister have taught me more than any book ever could.
  • Lip gloss. Seriously, I cannot wear a fancy outfit without the stuff.
  • My friends. They were my shelter during many storms, and I was there for them. I've even served as a stylist for some of my chums when prom came around. They haven't judged me for my fascination with rockabilly, either!
  • Spotify. It's the only way I listen to my music. And no, I am not paying for that crap!
  • Unique Vintage. Without them, what would I be blogging about?
  • Last, but not least, you, my wonderful readers. It's been a blast having you all here reading my stuff, otherwise I'd just be some crazy kid on Blogger.
Share what you're thankful for in the comment section, and do so politely! Hoppy Thanksgiving, my loves. Until Next Week!

Book Review!!!

Hi, y'all! First, I want to thank all the wonderful people who participated in the Covenant House Sleep Out last night. It was an honor seeing how much people care for homeless youth.

Now it's time for Bunny Marie's first ever book review! I have two books to speak on (and my reviews will be positive because I only hated Twilight with a burning passion!).

First: Zombie Notes is a study guide including classic novels with a paranormal twist. The book doesn't violate the stories, but they were a lot more fun. For instance, in The Scarlet Letter and Werewolves, Reverend Dimmesdale is a werewolf eluding death, and Pearl has inherited his fur, claws, and taste for human flesh. It's actually really cool, but it retains the essential points of the stories

Next, my new favorite, "Elvis Culture" by Erica Lee. Not specifically about the King, but about the legions of fans and how they honor Elvis Presley. I learned quite a lot through it. Did you know there are Churches of Elvis? Most of us aren't that extreme to where he's a god, but it's real. It's a good read, and it's very cool to see just how people feel about Elvis and his music.

Go look these books up until I get the other books I ordered. Ciao!

Untitled #6

LBD (Lovely Black Dresses!)

No closet should lack a black dress! Thanks to Unique Vintage, you've got one less problem! Here are four gorgeous ebony numbers for any party! Or just to wear to class!

The Mia dress is one hell of a dress! It's adorable with it's ivory crochet collar and slim silhouette. Great for date night or work!
The Vogue dress is a stunner with bows and Lycra! However, use caution and a body shaper, as the dress is extremely tight and hugs every inch of the wearer's waist.
This dress right here is definitely on my wishlist! It's flattering and fabulous-- And sure to grab attention, so don't wear this to an interview!
